I just watched Apple‘s new set of “I’m a Mac / I’m a PC” ads, and I must say that even though I still like the products I do think the marketing is getting nastier. Where before they were quirky and funny yet generalised, now they’re really putting the boot in. I’m not sure I really like it. Or maybe I’m just a big softy.

Yes, this is a glitzy marketing video, and yes, the product itself will probably cost an arm, a leg and selling your soul to the devil, but still I’d quite like to have this and work with it. Of course, that would mean I’d need to shave more often before going to work…

I’ve been a HUGE Terry Pratchett fan for years and years (and was exteremly sorry to hear of him being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease). He is so funny, insightful, witty and warm, and it shows in his writing.

What do the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys have in common?
Two things, actually. One: they are my two favorite NFL teams. Two: they both at one time had Emmitt Smith in their lineup, the NFL’s all time rushing leader and one kick-ass running back.
